Living in Alabama for 74 years, I had a great appreciation of Steven Spielberg’s recent new movie LINCOLN! Honest Abe, the 16th president of the United States of America, led the north and south through the Civil War and freed the slaves ending slavery in this country.
President Lincoln read his Bible constantly. He practiced God’s principals that were engraved indelibly in his heart! With Biblical truths etched in his conscious, and his toughness of character he indeed made America a free nation.
President Lincoln knew America was founded on Christian principals! He knew the Bible says were the Spirit of the Lord is there is liberty. It took the civil war and the abolition of slavery to make the USA one country under God! Today living as free Americans, we thank God for all the people who have been responsible for giving us the right to live FREE!
